The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit

In week two of our The Church series, Sam takes us to Acts 2 to discover what made the early church so powerful and effective. From the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to a growing community devoted to Jesus, Scripture, one another, and the mission, we see a picture of what God intended His church to be. Sam unpacks four defining characteristics of the early church: learning, doing life together, lifting Jesus up, and letting others know. The church wasn’t built around personal preference—it was empowered by the Holy Spirit and centred on Jesus. As we follow that example today, we’re invited to stop relying solely on our own strength and learn to catch the wind of the Holy Spirit as we live out God’s mission together.
