Who We Are
New Hope Community Church is a multigenerational community of people who are learning to follow Jesus together. Our vision is simple: connecting people with God and each other. We want to be a place where people can find belonging, build meaningful relationships, grow in their faith, and discover what it means to live out their relationship with Jesus every day.
We're a modern church that values creativity, excellence, and thoughtful experiences while always making room for the Holy Spirit to move. We believe the Holy Spirit is active and working in the world today, and we embrace His presence, power, and gifts as part of the life of the Church. Our Sunday gatherings are designed to create space for people to encounter God, worship together, hear from His Word, and respond to what He's doing in their lives.

At the same time, church is about more than what happens on Sunday. Through our kids and youth ministries, Life Groups, serving opportunities, and community outreach, we want to help people build relationships and grow together through every stage of life. We're a church that continues to grow, welcoming people from different backgrounds, generations, and stages of faith.
Our heart is to see people encounter Jesus, grow in their relationship with Him, and live out His love wherever God has placed them. Whether you're just beginning to explore faith or have followed Jesus for years, there's a place for you at New Hope.

Our Beliefs
About the Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God, infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
About God
We believe in one God who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
About Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ to be the eternal Son of God who died for the sins of the world, rose from the dead, and ascended to the Father.
About the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, leading us into truth, convicting us of sin, and empowering us for service.
About Humanity
We believe that people are created in the image of God, but fell through sin, incurring both spiritual and physical death.
About Salvation
We believe salvation has been provided for all people through Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Those who repent and believe in Christ are born again and receive eternal life.
About the Church
We believe in the universal church which is the Body of Christ, whose purpose is to glorify God and share the gospel with the world.
About Eternity
We believe there will be a final judgment where each person's eternal destination of heaven or hell will be determined by their response to Jesus Christ.

Church Membership
1 Corinthians 12 describes the body of Christ and how each member is uniquely fit into the church. Ephesians 5 compares the church to a husband/wife relationship in which Christ is the groom and the church is his bride. We are immediately included as members of God’s church when we accept Christ as our Saviour. Many people who attend New Hope Community Church consider themselves to be “members” of the church because they have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour and identify and participate in the local church. This is completely appropriate and accurate as it relates to membership in God’s family. New Hope is pleased to have hundreds of people who identify in this description of church membership
In addition to being a local church, New Hope Community Church is also a registered charitable organization in the province of Ontario. As such, we have bylaws that govern the charitable organization's activities. In keeping with the local church bylaws, there is an official and legal church membership process. Official members are those who assume the charity's financial responsibility and, through their elected representatives, make the charity's financial decisions. Therefore, those members must be participating in both volunteer service and financial commitment to the charity.

Qualifications
Faith
You have begun a relationship with God by asking Jesus to assume his rightful place as the director of your life (being born again). You are prepared to live in obedience to Jesus as he progressively reveals truth to you, and you have gone public in your faith commitment to Jesus by being baptized in water.
Shared Vision
You share an overall commitment to the mission statement of the church: Helping people connect with God and each other.
Serving
You serve the vision of New Hope in at least one area of volunteer involvement on a regular basis.
Giving
You are excited about giving financially to the Lord through New Hope as described in 2 Corinthians 8-9. Official membership is a recognition of shared financial responsibility and a commitment to the return of at least 10% of your annual income to the local church as a thanksgiving to God, and an investment in the mission of the church through New Hope.
Meeting
You agree to participate in matters related to the bylaws such as attending the annual congregational meeting and the election of Board representatives
