Being Great

This Thanksgiving Sunday at New Hope, Greg continued the Progress series by exploring how gratitude opens our hearts to the presence of God. He reminded us that God’s presence never leaves us—what changes is our awareness of it. Through practical reflection and the story of Jesus redefining greatness, Greg challenged us to see that true spiritual progress isn’t about status or achievement but about serving others and giving thanks in all circumstances. Greatness in God’s kingdom, he said, is a race to the bottom—choosing humility, gratitude, and love over self-importance.
